Southern Sudan and Southern Sudan (Arabic: جنوب السودان, transl. Janub as-Sudan), officially the Autonomous Government of Southern Sudan (Arabic: اقلیم جنوب السودان) is an autonomous region of Sudan, comprising ten states of this country.
